Allen Fowler
ALLEN FOWLER grew up in Lexington, Kentucky where he attended Henry Clay High School and then received his BA from Centre College in Danville. The Alexandra Stepp series, inspired by his daughter’s interests, is a character driven set of adventure stories. An author and artist, his short plays have been performed at the Playwright’s Platform Summer Festival (Boston, MA) and the Fledgling Short Play Festival (Providence, RI). His play, Unspeakable (Not a Word), reached the semifinalist round in the Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries at the American Shakespeare Center. His poetry has appeared in the Café Review and the Georgetown Review, and his artwork has appeared in a number of national juried exhibitions. Most recently he worked as a Senior Manager for Curriculum Development and Implementation for a non-profit workforce development company based in Boston, MA. He lives in and works in Western, MA.
